Humans Of Langston

Kaylee: “I want to promote the image of Langston through a lens, more importantly through a creative lens because I feel like everybody wants to be a photographer, but not everybody can do what they are supposed to do as a photographer. So, I hope to boost the image of Langston through my creative vision.”

Philip: “We were in seven on seven at practice and I went to tag off on a player, and I jumped so I didn’t run into him. He ducked his head, hit my legs, and flipped me in the air and my foot struck straight into the ground” 

Justin: “Football kept me busy because I felt like if I wasn’t doing football, I would be doing a lot of dumb stuff and getting in trouble. Football keeps my mind off of other things.”

“Yeah, like I’m from Dallas so it’s like the city, and Langston is kinda isolated, so like when you go somewhere and you have a car, you gotta go way out into the city to go somewhere. So, I feel like it’s secluded and it gets very boring and depressing sometimes. I like Langston, it’s cool. I have no other experience of any other colleges but from what I know I like it. 

“I like it here a lot. I’d say the sense of community I feel here just being around you know people who share my background. I feel like it’s been conducive to my growing into an adult. I miss being around the city, restaurants and being in a hub where there are plenty of things to do. I think that’s what is lacking here at Langston.”
